The Mocktail Project was founded on one simple idea that a zero-proof mocktail could have the same depth and creativity as a cocktail. By teaming up with restaurants, social environments, bartenders and baristas, spirit brands, elixirs, tonic and bitter companies that believe in a higher standard of flavor and hospitality, #TheMocktailProject helps to craft a safer, more inclusive drinking culture for when you choose not to consume alcohol.

Proudly respecting your choice to be with or without alcohol. #DrinkResponsibly

di·ver·si·ty

The state of being diverse; variety.

The Oxford Dictionary describes the #mocktail as: A non-alcoholic drink consisting of a mixture of fruit juices or other soft drinks. Although we don't dispute this definition, we were founded on the belief that a zero-proof cocktail could be so much more than fruit juices and soft drinks!

"When I made the choice to become a non-drinker, it was eye-opening as to how uncomfortable it can be in a social setting when your options are water, soda, or alcohol."

Inclusion is a way of thinking, a way of being, and a way of making decision about making everyone belong.

The American Drinking Culture

The NIAAA estimates that 30% of Americans choose to sustain from alcohol on a daily basis. Whether this is for a medical condition, pregnancy, individuals in recovery, or the designated driver, The Mocktail Project was created to provide an alternative option for when a person freely chooses not to drink.

An Irresponsible Burden

A burden to our society: Although The Mocktail Project fully supports an individuals choice to drink responsibly, alcohol misuse cost the United States upwards of an estimated $249 billion dollars annually. Three-quarters of the total cost of alcohol misuse are related to binge drinking.

A Splash of Social Responsibility

The NIAAA defines binge drinking as a pattern of drinking that brings blood alcohol concentration (BAC) levels to 0.08 g/dL or higher typically occurring after four drinks for women and five drinks for men—in about 2 hours. Our mission through THE MOCKTAIL PROJECT is to build a safer, more inclusive drinking culture. We want to create a choice for everyone in our community when you chooose not to consume alcohol. #respect

On behalf of the S.V. Foundation, we would like to thank our friends of the foundation for their continuous support of THE MOCKTAIL PROJECT, A DRINK FOR YOU, and the S.V. Foundation's mission to be more inclusive to the non-drinker.

Inclusion is not bringing people into what already exists; It is making a new space, a better space.
