Providing the 12 for 12 for the non-drinker.

Cocktails and Mocktails. Food. Ryan Leaf & Doug Scott.  Yes, this years Celebrate Freedom Dinner was more than successes. It was a celebration of freedom from addiction.

Founded as a homeless shelter in 1989, The Healing Place has become one of the nation's most effective long-term, social model recovery programs.  More than 30 years later, at the annual Celebrate Freedom Dinner (March 3, 2018) it was an honor to provide the first crafted non-alcoholic beverage to guest & attendees.

This year' s celebration was highlighted by former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf who shared his story of addiction during the Healing Place's Celebrate Freedom dinner.

He says the pressure to perform was more than he could handle and eventually became addicted to prescription opiates which ultimately led to the demise of his football career.

Leaf now shares his story as an example that a better life is always possible.

The Healing Place helps more than 700 men and women with drug and alcohol addictions at no cost.

Doug Scott, Director of Given. capped off the night with a heartfelt personal story of how The Healing Place helped provide him with a second opportunity to live the life he is now living today.

The annual fundraiser includes cocktails, food, awards provided to alumni, and now mocktails!
