October 14: Ostra Louisville
Bar Takeover, Supporting Volunteers of America
For one-night, Ostra Louisville and The Mocktail Project plan to raise the bar on what a traditional mocktail may look & taste like, and we are doing it all to help to support the amazing woman of Volunteers of America. We are rethinking how our community can socialize inside our cities most hip social environments. No Alcohol, No Problem. We are creating an entirely non-alcoholic beverage complemented with a limited food menu for one night to celebrate the growing demand of spirit free cocktails & mocktails.
Ostra is graciously donating 15% of all sales which will be split between the VOA and TMP to help support both of our missions.
October 15: Lola at Butchertown Grocery
Live Music. Mocktails. Bobby Benjamins Famous Beignets
For one night only Lola is going completely non-alcoholic, raising the bar on what a mocktail and non-alcoholic cocktail can taste like. Special curated programing will be happening throughout the entirety of this event including live acoustic music.
Limited to 80 guest, This curated event is $12.00 - All ticket sales help to support TMP’s mission of creating a more inclusive and stigma-free drinking culture.
Nic Christiansen, The 2019 Winner of The Mocktail Projects’ Annual Mocktail Competition at “A Drink For You”and famed beverage director of Butchertown Grocery and Lola accepted our challenged and agreed to create a one-of-a-kind mocktail menu for this years Mocktober campaign.
Bourbon Chase 2020. Mocktails at Makers Mark.
The Bourbon Chase, powered by Ragnar, celebrates the best of Kentucky, a 200-ish mile running relay across the Bluegrass State that winds its way through the historic Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
October 18: 610 Magnolia
A culinary experience Paired with Mocktails.
Chef/Owner Edward Lee has been with 610 Magnolia since 2004. Since then, he has been a multiple finalist for the James Beard Foundation Best Chef Southeast. He has written a cookbook, Smoke & Pickles, that celebrates his cooking of honoring Southern cuisine with Asian flavors. Chef Lee was the culinary host of Season 3 of Mind of a Chef and is currently a guest judge on MasterChef.
Located in historic Old Louisville, 610 Magnolia is contemporary yet rustic, elegant with original wooden beams, mullioned windows and French doors that open seasonally to an outdoor garden patio. The restaurant has been featured in Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, The New York Times Magazine, Saveur, Southern Living, Esquire, Wine Enthusiast and many other national publications.
October 19: Norton Commons
Courier-Journal Wine & Food - Mocktails and Meet & Greet.
The Courier-Journal Wine & Food Experience presented by Kroger presents rich and colorful moments for guests to taste, savor and explore the Louisville culinary scene, from local trends to regional traditions. Enjoy the Grand Tasting: a gourmet showcase by local chefs, emerging talent and nationally renowned culinary leaders who mix with patrons in a convivial setting.
